VR4K Mifare Proximity Reader Modules (MiAccess & WS4)

There are two available VR4K series Mifare proximity readers one for use with the MiAccess standalone proximity system and the other for use with the WS4 web access control system.

VR4KMI reader: MiAccess standalone (offline) 13.56MHz Mifare proximity reader. The reader has resin potted electronics keeping it sealed from the elements. The reader can be configured via the micro-USB input or via card configuration both methods using the PROA-MS (MiAccess) software with the help of the PROX-USB desktop reader. It includes 3 status LEDs: green for accept/access granted, red for access denied and amber when idle, providing the user with clear indication of the status of the reader. It has a read range up to 6cm. It is compatible with Mifare Classic fobs/cards. If also features unlimited user capacity with up to 3500 events logged and up to 1100 black list fobs/cards.

VR4KWS4 reader: WS4 web access (online) 13.56MHz Mifare proximity reader. The reader has resin potted electronics keeping it sealed from the elements. The reader can be configured via WS4 web browser (accessed via a WS4 controller connected to the internet) or the WS4 Portal (users must register an account and can access the WS4 Portal from any web browser) or by using the mobile WS4 Managers App, when the reader is connected to a WS4 controller. It includes 3 status LEDs: green for accept/access granted, red for access denied and amber when idle, providing the user with clear indication of the status of the reader. It has a read range up to4cm. It is also compatible with HID iClass CSN, NTAG, Mifare (including: Classic, Desfire, Plus and Ultralight)
ISO14443-A and ISO15693 card formats.

Like the rest of the VR4K series modules the VR4KMI and VR4KWS4 readers are manufactured from 12 gauge, 316 grade vertically brushed stainless steel and is compatible with the full range of 4000 series surface and flush back boxes.
