MiAccess Door Handle Lock Readers
Videx offer a series of surface mount door handle readers that compliment the MiAccess range of access control readers
The first is the AL500-MF door handle reader. With a brushed stainless steel look and feel it is designed to mount onto internal wooden doors, with a door thickness between 35mm to 55mm, and includes fixtures to reverse the door handle for mounting onto left-hand or right-hand opening doors. It is powered from an internal 6V lithium battery allowing for up to 32,000 opening cycles (approx.) and with no wiring connections it can be fitted without having to change the previous door lock making it easy to instal.
The second is the HL1000-MF series door handle reader and lock system. With a 304 grade brushed stainless steel body, IP65 rating, it is designed to mount onto internal or external doors, with a door thickness between 32mm to 55mm. Four options are available for left-hand and right-hand push or pull opening doors and includes the appropriate door lock mechanism and mounting fixtures and a set of override keys. It is powered internally using 4xAA, 1.5V alkaline batteries (6V) allowing for up to 60,000 opening cycles (approx.). The lock comes complete with dead bolt and thumb turn on the inside.
Like other MiAccess readers both the AL500-MF and HL1000-MF series door handles can provide access to an unlimited number of users and can restrict access whenever it is required making it ideal for different access solutions. For example granting access to restricted areas such as admin rooms, meeting and store rooms etc.
They can be programmed and configured directly using the PROA-MS or PROH-MS PC management software (available to download for free from https://software.videxservices.uk) using the micro-USB connection on the back of the reader. MiAccess fobs and cards are initally registered via the USB desktop reader (PROX-USB) connected to a laptop or PC and then the fob and card data along with reader configuration can be uploaded to the MiAccess reader.
