VR4K Series Biometric Fingerprint Module (Portal Plus)
The VR4KBIO module is biometric fingerprint reader designed for access control applications that includes an RS485 bus and Wiegand output for use with the Portal Plus access control system.
It has up to 9500 fingerprint storage capacity with 1 – 10 fingerprints per user. Configuration, additional programming and fingerprint enrolment is carried out either directly via the capacitive fingerprint sensor on the reader module itself or by using the desktop fingerprint reader (BIOPROX-USB) via the PROS CS (Portal Plus) software when the reader is connected to an EWS/EWSi controller.
It also features a tri-colour halo LED: green for accept/access granted, red for access denied and amber when idle/standby providing the user with clear indication of the status of the reader.
Like other modules in the VR4K series it is compatible with the popular 4000 Series surface and flush back boxes.
