Videx has a greater presence in the housing market due to its long-standing partnership with key local authorities across the UK. Once such relationship is with Kier Sheffield LLP and together with Videx they have secured a major two year contract from Sheffield City Council to provide multiple occupancy dwellings across the city with door entry and access control equipment.
The project will see door entry systems installed at over 400 residential developments across Sheffield. The systems will consist of audio door entry with fob access to provide secure but easy to use access control to those living in the apartments.
Steve Natton, Projects Manager at Videx, said: “The specification for the door entry equipment and access control security installed and supplied by Videx has evolved through the close working relationships we have developed with key partners. The systems specified cover high, medium and low rise installations.”
Natton continued: “One of the main reasons why we have been able to work with a number of large local authorities across the UK is because of the quality and reliability of our door entry systems. Unlike other manufacturers, Videx offers full product support following installation and comprehensive on-site training for council installation engineers if required. If there are any issues or problems with the systems installed, or if they need modified due to a change in requirements, our local authority clients know that they can come to us for assistance as lifelong support is a key part of the service we offer.”
